B-COS We Care for our at-risk or homeless youths……..

Upon requests from The Place and El Paso County Department of Human Services (EPCDHS), the Sweet Dreams Program provides a mattress, platform bed frame and a bedding bundle to youths aging out of foster care or transitioning from homelessness.  This year, The Place opened a new 50-unit apartment house for qualifying at-risk youths 18-24 years of age.  We provided all the beds ahead of time and will provide the bedding bundles as the youths are being moved into an apartment.  In addition, in 2025, we also provided beds and bedding to 2 youths from EPCDHS and 7 others for The Place that were placed in other transitional housing.   B-COS We Care anticipates being able to provide beds and bedding for all requests in 2025.

“For most of our recipients, this is the first bed of their very own. Having a furniture store call and schedule a delivery with them is sometimes as exciting as receiving the bed itself! Occasionally, recipients write to express their appreciation of the gift of a bed.”
